Front Office

 

SylviaSylvia Maguire

Sylvia recently became a partner of Buellton Veterinary Clinic and is our Hospital Administrator. She joined the practice in 1997, and has a B.A. in Psychology/Sociology and a Bachelor of Education degree. She is a 2003 graduate of the Veterinary Management Institute as well as a graduate of the AAHA Veterinary Management School. She oversees a capable staff of 20 full-time and 5 part-time employees. She keeps very busy traveling for work and when not working, enjoys spending time with her husband, her horses and cats in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

SuzySuzy Laporte


Suzy has been working at Buellton Veterinary Clinic since September 1999 and is one of our more senior front office staff members. She is our "go to" computer person and loves to learn new things about our "paperless" computer system. She has developed long term relationships with many of our clients and particularly enjoys seeing the reunions between owners and their pets when they are picked up from boarding. Suzy keeps very busy in her spare time with her two children, four dogs and two cats.

RoseyRosey Solis


Rosey is a very significant reason for our exceptional front office staff and she has been with the practice since April 2003. She previously worked as a pharmacy technician and a medical records clerk. Rosey thoroughly enjoys working with the animals and her colleagues at Buellton Veterinary Clinic and her spare time is spent with her family and friends.

Brianne Kinnison


Brianne, another member of our outstanding front office joined Buellton Veterinary Clinic in 2005 although she has worked in the veterinary field since 2001. She likes helping both the animals and the clients and thinks that "BVC Rules". When not working, Brianne loves to shop and spend her spare time with friends.

Back Office

Jenn

Jennifer Adame

Jennifer, one of our senior technicians, is an east coast transplant and is a Registered Veterinary Technician. She attended the University of Florida and majored in Zoology. She has been with the clinic since 1997 and enjoys being challenged at work, solving problems and performing nursing care to patients. She finds it rewarding knowing that she has made a difference and has been able to help owners care for their pets. She prides herself on being an animal advocate and has a special interest in exotic pets. Her spare time is spent with her animals, reading, being outside, traveling and trying new things.

DesireeDesiree Jones


Desiree, has always known that she wanted to deal with animals. She had pets growing up and belonged to 4H throughout high school. Her present ''Menagerie'' includes 3 cats and 1 dog. She has worked at BVC since September 2002 but has been in the veterinary field since 1999. Desiree's greatest satisfaction comes from helping sick animals get better. In her spare time she enjoys gardening and reading.

Sara JoSara Jo Martin


Sara Jo, another senior technican has been working at the clinic since August 2004. She has always loved and worked with animals, starting out as a volunteer for the Santa Barbara County Shelter and Humane Society. These days, she especially enjoys doing dental work and giving extra comfort and love to the animals that come into the practice. Her spare time is shared with her husband, Greg, 2 Chihuahuas, ''Prancer'' and ''Dasher'' and a Mini Aussie, named, ''Comet''.

Boarding

 

KellyKelly Strupp


Kelly has been working at Buellton Veterinary Clinic Bed and Breakfast since 2001. She took some time off to have a child but returned to full-time status in May 2004. She is a very dedicated employee and likes to learn new things. Her most recent accomplishment was becoming a Certified Kennel Operator from the American Boarding Kennel Association. She is the only certified individual in Santa Barbara County. Kelly likes to laugh, spend time with her husband and son, play Texas Hold'em and go camping.

Heather McVeigh                                       HT                

Heather, one of our assistants, has been with the clinic since 2002. She grew up in the Santa Ynez Valley surrounded by ponies, donkeys, goats as well as cats and dogs. Being able to work with animals is something she has always loved to do. On her days off, she helps take care of horses at a local pony club and really enjoys doing 3-Day Eventing with her daugher, Sabrina.

TinaTina Van Zandt


Tina was raised in the Santa Ynez Valley and participated in 4-H and FFA during her high school years. She attended Alan Hancock College and majored in Biology. We are very pleased to announce that Tina has successfully completed the Pet Care Technician program from the American Boarding Kennel Association. In her spare time, she is very involved in a softball league and her Jack Russell, "Izzie" loves to watch the games with her when not begging to go to the beach. Although she owned and operated a retail store for 13 years, she truly enjoys pampering the boarding pets at BVC's Bed and Breakfast.

JuliaJulia Mojica

Julia has been working at BVC's Bed and Breakfast since March 2007 and is a long time resident in the valley. She made the transition of care giving from people to pets and is very happy in her present position. She particularly enjoys interacting with the dogs during playtimes and helping them stay happy. She is devoted to her 3 year old daughter and spends all of her spare time with her.

Grooming

JulieJulie Esola


Julie, our Senior Groomer has been working at Buellton Veterinary Clinic since 1995 and has earned an excellent reputation for her work. She has over 16 years experience grooming animals in addition to having worked as a Veterinary Technician. She is also a Behavior Certified Companion Animal Hygienist and is our resident puppy trainer. Julie recently completed additional training in behavior issues and is available for consultations.

Shelly McNamara 

Shelly joined our clinic in 2008 as a part-time grooming and boarding assistant. She has worked as an assistant for several years before joining us and took a slight detour last year to have a baby. She enjoys going to the beach and to the lake but her favorite past-time is to be at the park with her daughter and dogs.

Kristy started at Buellton Veterinary Clinic in 2008 on a part-time basis. She is attending school and hopes to become a veterinarian. She is very excited to learn everything she can about a hospital and her enthusiasm is contagious.

Tiffani Woodworth

Tiffani

Tiffani has had a lifelong passion for animals. She joined our clinic in July 2007 on a part-time basis assisting in our grooming department. She has over 4 years related experience working in Orange County as well as in Florida. She has an Associate of Science degree in Assistance Dog Education. She enjoys her family and camping in her spare time.
